Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! This is one of my favorite days of the year.  I love a chance to make those in my life to feel special, especially my girls. Today each of my girls have a Valentine’s Day party. Then we will follow our tradition of getting heart shaped pizza for dinner with their Grandma. After that I am sure we will watch a movie or read 100 books before bed. It is a hard day to beat. Make sure to check out my Instagram stories @pinkandnavystripes to follow along.

Statement Jackets

This year has been the year of  the statement jacket for me.  I seem to be drawn to them.  One of the best things about jackets is that you can wear them day after day with different tops underneath.  I like that I can wear them with dresses, jeans or black pants. Jackets can be dressed up or down and are great to travel with. They can be found on sale and at a variety of price points. Two of my favorites from this year are my green and black animal print coat (last seen here) and my sherpa varsity jacket shown above. Both of them happen to be on sale right now but running low on sizes so grab them now if you want them.

Blazers

Blazers are on my list of items to look for. A blazer is a great transition piece from winter to spring. Blazers are great because they have a lot of structure to them so they can still give you a waist line and keep things more form friendly. Blazers also provide a very polished classic look. These types of items are great to invest in because you can wear them for many years since the style doesn’t change that much. Two of my favorite blazer styles right now are the Tweed Blazer and the sweater blazer. Both are very classic pieces great for work or worn casually. I have linked some below that you can see styled a few different ways.
