Do you ever look over your closet and wonder what to invest in next? Are you looking for that piece you can wear a lot but still makes a statement or do you need more basics? I find with the phase of life I am in I end up wearing a lot of basics but I want to change things up. This weekend I was at Evereve in Fargo for a little try on session and I really wanted to get a statement piece. Sometimes when I set my expectations a little too high on shopping trips I walk out with nothing because, well, you cannot find a unicorn every time you shop. It is like when you head into a store to find a dress for a wedding that weekend. There is a zero percent chance that you will find the dress for the wedding. When you go to a store just to browse that is when you find all the things.
Finding a jacket with a bold print can be just that item. You can wear it many different ways: with jeans, black pants, or even the right dress. I can easily dress this jacket up or down and it would be so cute with a black dress. It would look amazing with leggings and athletic sneakers. Being able to wear a jacket to dinner or to the gym and still have it look amazing is a win.

What to look for in a jacket?
I styled this jacket with a tee and Sorel boots. It is also a great jacket to buy for fall but isn’t one that can really be dressed up. Do not get me wrong, I love this jacket. You do no always need pieces that can be all things but I wanted to contrast with another jacket. This one could easily be worn to a football game and everyday, but may not be something you pack in a suit case because it is not as versatile. The camo jacket would be so cute with a baseball cap especially green or navy and a pair of New Balance sneakers.
Both these jackets are great purchases because they can be worn so much. It just depends on which trends you want to wear most and what gaps in your closet you’re trying to fill or outfits you like to wear but just need a little bit of a change.
