We’re trying to get settled at home with Penelope. I feel like we went home from the hospital with a newborn. She gets fed every three hours during the day through a feeding tube. She also has meds to take and requires other care around the clock. I was out of the routine of getting up at overnight with her so the adjustment back has been exhausting. We have a lot of follow up appointments to see doctors and feeding specialists. Being home from the hospital has been AMAZING, but busier than I expected.
Dahlia, our two and a half year old, did so well with us being gone for so long but she has loved having her sister home again. Our first night back home sitting around the table with all four of us was like a dream.
