Every time it gets close to a season change I seem to want to find new makeup colors and update my look. Thankfully fall doesn’t officially start until September 22nd but with schools starting already it seems like a great time to talk about the beauty basics that I love. This year I have focused way more on anti-aging than I ever have in the past. I have always had really good skin and I don’t want to change that now! Some of my favorite products that I have added to the fleet this year have been products with sunscreen or that are very moisturizing. Here are the reasons why I love each of these products:
Tinted Moisturizer – I started using tinted moisturizer about two or three years ago and I hated it! Which seems funny to admit now. I think it is because I tried to use it as a foundation. Tinted moisturizer will not give you the coverage of foundation. So if you have the expectation up front you will like it a lot more. Since it doesn’t give you as much coverage I like to go a little bit darker with the color of mine. I get a little tan but not too much where you get a heavy line. This Beauty Counter one that I have fallen in love with is very moisturizing and has SPF in it. I tend to wear this as a base or on days that I am running to the gym and then home. My color is No. 2.
Daily Correct CC Cream– This was my first CC cream and I have loved it. This one, I do interchange with my foundation but I wouldn’t wear it to go out to dinner or for a more formal event. It is perfect for everyday wear. The thing I love about this product is that it has a SPF of 35, which is really high for how light it feels on my skin. This cream is color correcting and soften fine lines and wrinkles. It definitely makes your face look fresh. My color is the light to medium.
tarte amazonian clay concealer– This product I have used for a long time. I have always had really dark circles under my eyes so getting a good concealer is a must! I normally buy this one a little bit lighter than I need. I put my one before foundation so it balances out the color of my overall skin. I like if I go lighter it really does even out the dark circles. This tarte concealer wears so well, it really stays put! I wear a fair in this one.
beautycounter cleansing balm– I can’t say enough nice things about this product. I love how it makes my skin feel when it’s on and when I wash it off. I normally put it on a couple nights a week before I got to bed and then wash it off when I wake up in the morning. It’s so hydrating! It really helps keep my skin clear.
Dior Lip Maximizer – The price tag may scare you off but this lasts a long time and it really makes your lips look more full. The colors are very subtle and I have both.
Sigma Brush– The brush is a total game changer. I like to use it to put on anything I put all of my face. I end up using less product that way and it spreads it out evenly.
Pro Longwear’ Paint Pot – I use this as a base before I put on eye shadow and as a color in it’s own. This eye shadow gives you a great even coverage over your eyes and stays on really well. I love the painterly and bare study colors.
