How to Buy a White Top…

Yay it’s Friday! I am so excited to spend the weekend with my family. Penelope is 7 weeks today and it just gets a little bit easier every week that goes by.  I am such a sucker for a newborn, I’m not ready for her to be out of that phase yet.

I love the combo of white shirts and jeans with a cognac brown tote.  It’s a great casual look.  Wearing white can be tricky.  I am always looking for that great white top that isn’t super thick but not see through. The secret of white tops is the under garments, whether that be tank tops or bras. The obvious choice would seem to be going with white but white shows through.  Nude is where it is at.   If you want to rock some shape wear buy it in nude to wear it with more tops.  Also make sure to pay attention to the neckline of the top, having a nude tank show at the top of your shirt is not the look we’re going for.  Tanks like this are great for a v neck top. Make sure to check out this post I wrote on getting your tunic to fit right.
