V-Neck Sweater…

December 6, 2017

Sweater: Leith (comes in five colors), Jeans: Ag Jeans (my favorites on sale here), Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Bracelets: David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, Shoes: Tory Burch (put these on your Christmas list), Rings: David Yurman

This V-Neck Sweater is one of those items for me that I want in every color! The black and the grey are super cute and great basics. This is such a cute sweater on it’s own or something you could totally style with a cape scarf like this one. I am still wearing the same size I always do (medium). These shoes I am wearing are a great wardrobe staple. I would totally add them to my Christmas list if I did not already have them. I really like that they look so similar to the Chanel espadrilles for a fraction of the cost!

I have been working hard to try and cut hidden sugar out of our kids’ diets more. When I say hidden sugar, I mean all the sugar that ends up in store-bought food. I am admittedly a little bit of a sweets person myself. I love candy but I am trying to be healthier for myself and the girls and tone it down a bit. I have been trying out many different recipes to cut out refined sugar. I wanted to share of my favorite with you all. I have probably had it on here before many years ago but have modified it a little to take out the sugar and sub for maple syrup or honey. Let me know what you think!!!

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Cream:

1/4 cup canola oil

2/3 cup sugar (use about a half cup honey or maple syrup)

Add:

3 egg whites

1/4 cup skim milk

3 mashed bananas

1 tsp. vanilla

Add:

1 2/3 cups whole wheat flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. salt

1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (these are my favorites)

Bake at 375 for 19 minutes in muffin tins.  Makes between 14 to 18 muffins

Recipe Tips

Get the vanilla, bananas, maple syrup and honey from Costco. The quality of those ingredients is so good from there and way more cost effective! Make sure to use really ripe/brown bananas otherwise the recipe will not turn out as sweet and you can tell the taste is a little bit off. I have made that mistake a few times! Lastly, get these chocolate chips. They are so good and they are natural!
