This photo will always mean so much to me. This was taken minutes before we got to take Penelope home from the hospital for the second time. She had just spent 5.5 weeks at a Children’s Hospital near our home.
This is a photo of my girls and me in our new house, one of the last times we took them there before it was finished.
I hope you’ve all had a great week. I have had car seats on my mind a lot lately. My daughter, Dahlia, is three and I think it’s time to get her a bigger seat. Penelope is still in her infant carrier so she could probably use an upgrade as well. I feel like with kids this age you’re collecting car seats! We’re adding another Britax car seat to our pretty big collection. When I was in the market for Dahlia’s big girl car seat, a friend of mine tipped me off to Diapers.com. They have the most wide selection of print and colors than anywhere else I could find online. We ended up getting Dahlia a Britax Advocate. I have been so happy with it. I am all about safety when it comes to car seats. We made Dahlia sit rear facing until she was over two.
Now Dahlia wants a new seat with a “holder.” She is obsessed with cup holders in the car which I think is so cute. I know whatever seat we get next will have to have one or she will revolt. Two other things I recommend to moms of little ones: The vehicle seat protector if you have leather seats and the waterproof mat if you are in potty training mode. Both have been worth it!
