I have been staying up way too late lately. I have been putting my daughters to bed and then running five or six miles.  It seems to be the only time of day I can fit it in and I’m sick of skipping workouts. I may have tried to take a poll on my Facebook page last night for some advice on the subject.  My older daughter, Dahlia, hasn’t sucked her thumb in a week now but the last few nights have been rough.  Her bedtime routine has gotten so drawn out we have to start it at like 6:15 or 6:30.  She is having a tough time getting control of her emotions.  It’s hard to watch, but I know we’ll come out on the other side of it soon.

Tonight, our favorite restaurant near our house, Rock Elm, is having a school’s out party.  They have the most amazing food and I love supporting a local restaurant.  When Penelope was in the hospital this spring they served a meal at the Ronald McDonald House.  It was one of the nights that it was just my mother-in-law and I at the hospital and I was really missing being home.  I really enjoyed getting some of my favorite foods from their menu.  I must admit, their bacon is AMAZING. I for sure went back for seconds.  If ever you have a family member at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis bring them food or get them a gift card to Bite Squad.  It is quiet around there in the evenings.

I LOVE this top.  I probably over-wear it because I think it is so fun.  I really like that it combines so many styles and textures.  I think a statement top like this for under $50 is a great find too.  The other item in this look that I’m very proud to have found are these jeans.  I really wanted a pair of distressed jeans but I have a hard time justifying a large price tag on them.  When I am playing with the girls, it’s hard not to keep the holes from expanding; so when I found these which are under a $100, it was a huge win.
