When I saw this eyelet dress, I knew I had to have it. It’s a perfect dress for summer. I love wearing white as much as possible this time of year! This dress is perfect for church, work, or a dinner out with the girls. I really like the ruffles and how they make it such a feminine look. The bottom of the dress has such an interesting detail because of the unique hem.
Eyelet always reminds me of my room growing up. I had a lot of eyelet fabrics in the room. I was a tomboy and my mom still made me have some girly things in the room. Eyelet was the one fabric we could semi-agree on. When I was really young, I had yellow carpet and a bright yellow comforter. When I was in middle school, they let me redo my room and I wanted dark blue carpet and this wall paper with footballs, basketballs, and soccer balls on it. My parents did not go for it. We settled on wall paper with shoe ties that were navy with a little red. Just like any good kid, I was over it like a year later but the eyelet fabrics always stuck!
When we took family photos earlier this month I made both my girls wear eyelet dresses. I found them the cutest clothes at Gap for the pictures. I tried to subtly add in my own eyelet for the pictures. I hope you all have a great weekend!
