Olive Green and Fresh Flowers…

Sometimes you have an olive green and fresh flowers kind of a day! I love this color right now! Yesterday, when I was at bible study, the babysitter was wearing olive green shorts and I’m pretty sure my friend thought I was going to get her number. Ha! I know the rules; you never steal another girl’s babysitter, but I did want her shorts! This year on the sale I tried to stock up on all the basics. Right now I feel like I’m at a phase of life where I am just going to be wearing a lot of loose fitting t-shirts.  With Penelope being two and wanting to be on my hip consistently, it is just too hard to wear anything else.  Here are some of my favorite tops from the sale this year that you can wear everyday! Most of them are at a price point where you can stock up.

The other items I am waiting to get are some cute booties.  I ordered a few pairs to try.  My problem is that a lot of them are suede this year so I have to decide when, and how long, I want to wear them.  Since I’m from the Midwest and it snows so early here, I don’t normally buy suede boots because they get ruined.  I have to admit I am a perfectionist when it comes to that sort of thing, so I use the term “ruined” loosely! This year I bought these suede boots because you can’t wear them in cold weather anyways and the price was right. These Hinge boots are amazing too because they aren’t as perforated as the other ones so you could wear them in cooler temps longer.  I bought these Vince Camuto boots because they’re leather so I can wear them all winter. Granted, I made this purchase at 2am so my mind wasn’t all there but they’re peep toe boots with an exposed heel. I don’t think I will be wearing them in January anyways, but they are amazing!

If you are truly looking for winter boots, I have two favorites.  These Frye boots I have had previous versions of and they last forever.  They are the style of boots that mold to your feet over time and only get more comfortable. The leather on them is of truly amazing quality.  They are an investment but you will get a ton of use out of them!  The other pair are these Tory Burch boots. They’re kind of an iconic style. You can wear them with a dress, jeans, or even black pants.  I like that they could be worn to work or just everyday.  They too are an investment, but totally worth it for the amount you can wear them year after year.
