My husband and I went on the most amazing little getaway. We realized we hadn’t taken a trip just the two of us in FIVE years. We are always traveling with friends, traveling with our girls, or going on trips without each other. The trip was so amazing. We laid by the pool, read books, slept in, ate late dinners, and just enjoyed adult conversation! It was so nice just to relax. We went to Marco Island, which is where we got married eight years ago. We got to go watch the band that played at our wedding at a bar in Naples. The band even played a couple songs they played at our wedding. At the end of the trip I was just itching to get back to our girls! It was nice to have a break but I am obsessed with my kids and our life at home.
One of my favorite brands these days is Madewell. I just love their fabrics and the fit of their tops. They wash up really nicely and do not seem to wrinkle. I would say I’m not in a “phase of life” to be ironing my stuff, but really it’s just that I hate ironing. In all honesty, I feel like it’s a combination of both! The other great thing about this top is that it layers nicely. I have a couple sweaters that I am always wearing it under. It works perfectly with this sweater (last seen in this post).
