Dahlia’s Third Birthday…

June 6, 2016

I can’t believe that I have a three year old! Today is Dahlia’s birthday. Yesterday we had a party at our house and some family and neighbors come over. The neighbor girl across the street made her this Doc Mcstuffins cake with purple fondant. How cute is that cake?! She is eleven years old. I knew the girl was good but I was blown out of the water

Vonbon…

April 17, 2016

Dresses: Vonbon, Headbands: Vonbon, Shoes: Minnetonka I love having the girls wear matching outfits.  Dahlia, my older daughter, seems to really be into it now too. These dresses they’re wearing are so soft and made of organic cotton. The headbands are easy to adjust. I love the knot style. They made the perfect little church outfits. Penelope has been doing great. She’s eating more

35 Days…

March 23, 2016

Penelope has been in the hospital for 35 days now. I can’t believe it’s been that long.     It’s been a whirlwind of a week. Penelope developed viral pneumonia in her lungs, so she is still on a breathing tube. Because of her belly surgery, they can’t do some of the things that they normally would to speed up her recovery, so it looks like we’ll be here for a while longer. My husband and I love the nurses and doctors that have been caring for

Prayers for Penelope…

February 24, 2016

This is the hardest post I’ve had to write so far in my three and a half years of blogging. I want to share what has been going on in my life and why I have been a little MIA. On Thursday February 18th, my daughter Penelope had to have an emergency surgery to fix an issue she was having in her intestines. We spent the next day

Kitchen Photos…

January 8, 2016

Crock: Le Creuset       I wanted to share some photos of our kitchen.  I have shared a few on Instagram but not many on here. I love all the white, although some of these photos turned out a little yellowish? Any tips on getting rid of yellow tones in photos?  I got this latte/espresso maker a couple weeks ago and I am in

Healthy, Happy Halloween…

October 17, 2015

Image from Lands’ End Halloween is just around the corner and it can be hard to help your kids to have a healthy Halloween.  I never know what kind of treats to give out or what ways I can promote a happy, healthy Halloween.  I’ve always thought of Halloween as a chance to connect with neighbors and dress up as something fun.  I love picking out costumes for
