This has been a whirlwind of a week, with it already being a short week with the fourth on Monday and I went to the Adele concert and celebrated my birthday with my friends. We have been so busy and the girls have been waking up early so it has been hard to find time to get anything done.

On Wednesday night, we went to the Adele concert in St. Paul.  The concert was amazing. Adele was super personable somehow in an auditorium of people.  I had no idea how funny Adele was either.  She said at the beginning of the concert that if you were looking for a fun evening you maybe in the wrong spot because she writes sad/ break-up songs.  Ha! Going to her concert was my Christmas present from my parents.  They got us seats on the floor and the some extra package where we got to go early and got a swag bag.  My sister, brother-in-law, husband and I all sat together and hung out for most of the night.  We went and ate at a restaurant in the Excel before the show, grabbed a drink and walked around.  Then we went and found our seats.  We were in the center section and had the B stage right behind us.  So when she started the show and midway through she was right by us.  When Adele started the show in the middle stage they had to wheel her out in a box which we totally missed because it was too far behind us.  Then she did one song and went to the front stage.  She would take selfie’s with fans the whole way which I thought was hilarious.
The music itself was AMAZING.  I don’t know that I have ever heard someone sound so amazing live.  Adele is such a talented musician.  One of her coolest songs was ‘Set Fire To The Rain’, she came back to the stage by us. Then we got to stand in the front row and had water that looked like rain going all around her. It was really cool. I would say after that it is hard to pick what my next favorite song was because they’re all so good I could name off like four more.  I really like her cover of the Bob Dylan song ‘Make You Feel My Love.’ Adele told a lot of stories about how she wrote her songs and what they meant to her.  That was so cool, I loved to hear the background on what make her write.  I really like to hear about ‘Send My Love’ and what that song was about.
Adele has a four year old, that she said travels on tour with her.  I cannot imagine how hard that would be. We have a hard time getting our three year old to sleep at my parents cabin every weekend let along switching hotels on a regular basis. I really enjoyed hearing Adele speak about her life as a Mom. She was opened up a lot about things that women don’t talk enough about.  She shared some about how she had the baby blues after her son was born.  She also shared some funny stories about writing songs all about her son and how they didn’t make the album because they were not quite right.  I know after I had Dahlia, everything I blogged and wrote about was her and then I had to get back to what I really knew.
I truly cannot say enough nice things about her show.  It was so good, Adele felt like your best friend, she sang AMAZING and was super funny.  If you get a chance to go to her concert the ticket price will be worth it! I am a total concert junkie and it is one of the best I’ve ever been to.
