The weekends always go by way too quickly.  Today as I was getting Penelope ready for school, I kept thinking I wish I had one more day at home with my girls. Monday morning are always hard to get back in the groove. I went to see my siblings up in Fargo this weekend.  My niece turned five.  She is super into Star Wars which I think is so funny how it’s come back (adorable Star Wars stuff here). Then we came home and had a big neighborhood get together.  There were 80 people that came to our BBQ.  It was so fun to meet the families that live around us. My daughter, Dahlia, had a blast but was too scared to go into the bouncy house with all the big kids.

I really wanted to get a drop-waist dress.  I decided to get one with short sleeves on it so it could be worn more than just the summer. I went with a more neutral color because then I can add a print in a bag or a bold necklace. Buying a day dress or causal dress for summer is always something I try to do early in the season.  That way you can wear it with a jacket in the Spring and get more use out of it.  It’s something you can wear to work, lunch or an event like a shower or graduation party. Make sure it’s something that isn’t too short, if it’s shorter than you want it to be you probably won’t wear it as much and won’t be able to sit down in it.
